    1. An optical toy, usually consisting of two or three long mirrors fixed at an angle to each other inside a tube containing small pieces of coloured plastic, glass or paper, so that multiple reflections produce random regular patterns when the tube is viewed through an eyepiece at one end and rotated or shaken.
    2. Any colourful and constantly changing scene or succession of events.
