    1. Relating to possession.
    2. Said of a person or of character: unwilling to share, or allow others to use, things they own.
      Example: I'm very possessive about my car

    3. Said of a person or of character: inclined to dominate, monopolize and allow no independence to one's wife, husband, child, etc.
