    1. A line or file of people or vehicles, etc, especially ones that are waiting for something. N Amer equivalent line.
    2. computing.
      A list of items, eg programs or data, held in a computer system in the order in which they are to be processed, the items that arrive earliest being processed first and subsequent ones placed at the end of the list.
    3. A pigtail.
