    1a. A rose-garden;
    1b. A rose-bed. Also called rosery.
    2. RC Church.
      A series of prayers with a set form and order in which five or fifteen decades of Aves are recited, each decade being preceded by a Paternoster and followed by a Gloria.

      A string of 165 beads divided into fifteen sets used to count such prayers as they are recited;
