Unification Church
noun
    1. An evangelistic religious and political movement which advocates the importance of family life and which is well known for its mass wedding ceremonies where up to 8000 couples get married at the same time. Its members are sometimes referred to as Moonies.
Etymology: 1970s: formed in 1954 in Korea by Sun Myung Moon (born 1920), hence the name given to his followers.
